Focused tuition for fiction writers of novels and short stories. This can take the form of standalone tutorials, or block-booked mini courses designed to your specifications. Tutorials can take the form of feedback sessions for a work-in-progress, or can be focused upon a particular technique you wish to learn more about (dialogue, voice & style, editing strategies etc). For ongoing students, tuition can also include homework assignments, reading lists, and areas of research at no extra cost to those outlined in the pricing section. I also offer guided, short-term tuition on preparing applications, personal statements, and portfolios for UK-based creative writing programmes.

What I Don’t Offer

I do not offer tuition for writers of poetry or children's fiction, as these fall outside of my area or expertise. Nor do I offer general writing tuition for school or university work, or tuition for writers under the age of eighteen. I am happy to provide guidance for essay writing and literary criticism, but only as an addendum to tuition for fiction writing.
